DescriptionBill of indictment of John Hicke of Terrington yeoman for not scouring the watercourse called Side Ing Becke which flows across his lands at Terrington to the mill at Stittenham called Stitnam Mill occupied by George Stockdale

From 1 May 1695 the watercourse has been obstructed on Hicke's lands at Terrington and water has not been able to flow to the mill

Hicke is liable to scour the watercourse by reason of his tenure of land at Terrington

Endorsed with name of witness and "true bill"
