Description | Order for John Bailey and George Carter, high constables for the division of Ryedale, to levy a fine on the inhabitants of the township of Slingsby, to be used to repair the road leading from the town of South Holme to the town of Whitwell. In the township of Slingsby, the road begins at a water course called Holm Syke and leads through the limits of the township of Slingsby, and is 5,000 yards in length and seven yards in breadth. The road was presented at the Quarter Sessions held on 10 January 1786 |
