Recognizance dated 12 January 1788 made by Thomas Creasor late of Norton in the East Riding labourer for his appearance at the next Quarter Sessions to prefer a bill of indictment against Michael Berwick and Joseph Rane, both late of Whitwell masons, for stealing an unbaked bread loaf in a tin from the cart that Creasor was driving on the turnpike road in the township of Huttons Ambo on 24 December 1787, the property of Henry Richardson farmer of the tolls at the Turnpike Bar in the parish of Huttons Ambo
