Description | Writ dated 14 April 1795 to the Sheriff to summon jurors to hear the case against Thomas Orton for a misdemeanour
"Record" of the case against Orton for entering a deer park called Capplebank belonging to the Duke of Bolton and rescuing one brown gelding galloway value £5 which had been impounded by the Duke as an estray in the manor of Preston. Orton had also broken open a gate leading into the deer park. Endorsed "Easter Sessions 14 April 1795"
