Description | Bill of indictment of the overseer of the poor of the township of West Harlsey for disobeying an order of maintenance
On 13 May 1799 the overseers of the poor of the township of Brompton were ordered to pay 1s 3d per week for the maintenance of Mary wife of William Wilson then serving in the 2nd North York Regiment of Militia as substitute for Christopher Raper of the township of West Harlsey. This sum was to be reimbursed to the overseers of Brompton by the township of West Harlsey, but no reimbursement has been made
