Recognizance dated 17 May 1817 made by George Cape wool merchant and John Cape warehouseman, both of Cateaton Street in the City of London, for the appearance of George Cape at the next Quarter Sessions as father of the bastard daughter of Mary Fawcet late Mary Woolfe but now wife of John Fawcet of the township of Newsham, born at the township of Newsham on 31 July 1802 and now chargeable to that township
