TitleLetter from George Atkinson concerning payments relating to Yarm Bridge
DescriptionLetter from George Atkinson relating to payments in the hands of Mr Meynell of Yarm belonging to Yarm Bridge and due to the North Riding. Atkinson was referred to Meynell's attorney, Mr Raisbeck of Stockton, who declined to pay the money until Mr Meynell had been remunerated for a house taken for the improvements to Yarm Bridge when it was widened in about 1806, which he now claims belongs to the estate which he afterwards purchased. Mr Miles the bridge warden also refused to pay the balance in his hands until he had settled with Mr Raisbeck for making the report for the Yarm Bridge Committee, and for another bill for sweeping the footpath of the bridge
