- warrant dated 25 May 1835 from two Justices for the churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the township of Coxwold to seize a horse, a cow, the remainder of a stack of hay, two beds and bedding, a bed hangings, a dressing table, two clothes boxes, eight common chairs, an armchair, a clock, a dining table, a round table, a corner cupboard, a dozen cups and saucers, a tea tray, a swing glass, a delf rack, two dozen plates, a warming pan, a long settle, two brass candlesticks, a tea kettle, a crane, an oven, a range, a set of fire irons, a bellows, a reckon, a fender, a pail, a skeel, a washing tub, a kitchen table, a child's chair, a stool, a brush, and a knife box belonging to James Mosey late of the township of Coxwold labourer. Mosey has gone away from Coxwold, leaving Hannah his wife and their children William, Robert, Frances and Michael chargeable to the township of Coxwold as the place of their last legal settlement

- undated request from the overseers, who have seized the goods of James Mosey, to move at the Midsummer Sessions 1835 for an order for the sale of the horse and cow and some of the furniture, in order to pay towards the maintenance of Mosey's wife and family

- order made at the Quarter Sessions held on 29 June 1835 for the churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the township of Coxwold to sell the horse and cow and to be accountable to the Justices at the next Quarter Sessions for money arising from that sale
