Description | Bill of indictment of Edward Bell alias Edward Harrison late of the House of Correction at Northallerton labourer for obtaining £5 by false pretences from Mary Peacock wife of John Peacock. Bell claimed to have delivered an order to John Robinson addressed to a person residing in a house at Darlington in county Durham described by Bell as the last public house near a place called the Depot in Darlington, ordering £22 to be paid to Robinson. Mary Peacock would receive her £5 back when the £22 was paid
