Description | Bill of indictment of Francis Wailes late of the House of Correction at Northallerton labourer for obtaining by deception half a pound weight of black tea value 3s, a quarter of a pound weight of coffee 7d, and a quarter of a pound weight of tobacco value 1s from Charles Johnson and John Johnson grocers and drapers. Wailes falsely pretended that he was servant to Mistress Barker of the parish of Stillington widow and mother of Thomas Barker of the parish of Sutton on the Forest farmer, and that he had been sent by Mistress Barker for the goods
