With certificate of conviction at the Quarter Sessions for county Durham held at Durham on 2 July 1849 of Frances Finlay wife of Thomas Finlay late of the parish of Jarrow in county Durham labourer for stealing two flannel petticoats value 1s and one pair of flannel drawers value 1s, the property of Sarah Dickinson at the parish of Jarrow on 7 June 1849. Finlay was sentenced to hard labour in the House of Correction at Durham for two calendar months. Certificate dated 11 October 1850
