With certificate of conviction at the Quarter Sessions held at the Guildhall for the city of York on 5 January 1852 of John Fleming late of the city of York labourer for stealing one silver double case vertical watch, the property of Matthew Schewerer, at the parish of St Helen's Stonegate in the city of York on 8 November 1851. Fleming was sentenced to hard labour in the York House of Correction for six calendar months. Certificate dated 20 October 1852
