With certificate of conviction at the Quarter Sessions for the borough of Scarborough held on 15 April 1851 of John Belcher late of the parish of Scarborough labourer for stealing ten stones weight of seed hay value 5s, the property of Benjamin Waterworth, at Scarborough on 6 January 15 Victoria [sic] [1852]. Belcher was sentenced to hard labour at the House of Correction at Northallerton for nine calendar months. Certificate dated 24 June 1854 |
