With certificate of conviction at the Assizes and General Gaol Delivery held at the Castle of York on 7 March 1846 of Robert Dawson for breaking into the dwelling house of Gavin Brown at the parish of Marske on 25 January 1846 and stealing 20 yards of cloth, ten silk handkerchiefs, one pocket book, one cheque for the payment of £59 9s, one order for the payment of £17 8s 6d, and one security for £5 10s, the property of the said Gavin Brown. Dawson was sentenced to be transported for ten years. Certificate dated 25 June 1856
