DescriptionLetter from William Spensley at Reeth to T.T. Travers esquire, Clerk of the Peace at Northallerton. He wishes to be excused from serving on the jury as he is 60 years old and has been "very delicate" for many years, not going out of doors after sunset. He frequently spits blood and has to avoid sitting in warm rooms where there are many people. His stomach and bowels are much disordered of late and travelling might be troublesome. His constitution is giving way and his strength failing
