With certificate of conviction at the Quarter Sessions held at Northallerton on 2 January 1855 of William Johnson late of the House of Correction at Northallerton for stealing 100 pounds weight of unrendered fat, the property of Robert Stabler; and one bag, the property of James Russell. Johnson, who had a previous conviction for felony, was sentenced to penal servitude for ten years. Certificate dated 9 December 1868
