| Description | Bill of indictment of Stephen Foster for obtaining half a crown from William Skipworth by falsely pretending that if Skipworth gave him the money, he (Foster) would get him a mixture of linseed oil and sweet nitre and would bring him back the change. Foster then pretended that the linseed oil and sweet nitre mixture had cost an additional shilling, and so obtained an extra shilling as well
