Reciting that Abraham Vanden Bempde with Thomas Playters of Beckles, Suffolk, by obligation dated 18 November 1684 are bound unto Sir Miles in £1000 for payment of £513 15s 0d on 19 May next
And that £500 still remains due
And that the Rt Hon William Earl of Devonshire by procurement of Abraham Vanden Bempde has acknowledged a judgement to Sir Miles for £1000 debt in H M Court of Common Pleas, Trinity Term last, which judgement is defeasanced for securing repayment of £500 and interest to Sir Miles on 24 June next
Now it is witnessed that the said judgement is intended as a further additional security for the first-mentioned £500 and therefore Sir Miles agrees with Abraham Bempde that if the Earl of Devonshire his heirs etc shall pay to Sir Miles £500 and interest on 24 December next, Sir Miles will deliver up the bond, and if the money is paid by Abraham Bempde, Sir Miles will at request of Abraham Bempde and at his costs, assign the said judgement to him
