On 27 July 1693 a warrant had been issued to the bailiff of the liberty of Richmond and Richmondshire and his deputy to arrest Henry Watson and to bring him before the king's justices at Westminster to answer Christopher Tanfeild for a plea of debt for £26. Edmund Raper had arrested Watson on 18 August 1693 at Exelby
