DescriptionBill of indictment of Francis Taylor late of Langtoft in the East Riding gentleman, Esther wife of John Morgan labourer, Ann wife of Thomas Stubs labourer, and Ann wife of James Awmond labourer, all late of Snainton, Christian wife of Leonard Cape labourer and Christopher Mamon labourer, both late of Ebberston, Brian Cape late of Langtoft in the East Riding labourer, Richard Cape labourer and Mary his wife, and Elizabeth Vasey widow , all of Allerston, Margaret Hardy widow and Elizabeth Dodgson widow, both of Yedingham in the East Riding, Jane wife of Thomas Vasey of Allerston labourer, and Elizabeth Hay spinster and Ann Crompton spinster, both late of Yedingham in the East Riding, for riotously assembling, and breaking into the close of Thomas Stephenson called Lowe New Close; and that Francis Taylor cut with a scythe and took five acres of corn value £20, the property of Thomas Stephenson
