DescriptionBill of expenses of Christopher Smith for conveying vagrants in and through the North Riding mainly from Eryholme to Boroughbridge in the West Riding since the last Sessions 1787. With orders dated 9 July and 24 July 1787

- Richard Newton and Eleanor his mother, apprehended in the township of Darlington, to be taken with a pass to his place of settlement in the parish of Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire

- Michael Broadby, apprehended in Berwick upon Tweed and committed to the House of Correction at Durham, to be taken with a pass to his place of settlement at Dungannon in Ireland

- Hannah Baxter and one child, apprehended in the township of Framwellgate near the city of Durham, to be taken with a pass to their place of settlement in the parish of St Michael in the city of Coventry in Warwickshire

- Richard Newton, apprehended in the town of Sunderland and committed to the House of Correction at Durham, to be taken with a pass directly to his place of settlement in the parish of Elstronwick near Holderness

- John Bevins, apprehended in the town of Sunderland and committed to the House of Correction at Durham, to be taken with a pass to his place of settlement at Liverpool in Lancashire
