TitleAn account for conveying vagrants
DescriptionAn account of the charges for maintaining and conveying vagrants from 15 July to 7 October 1788. These vagrants were sent by warrants of commitment to the House of Correction at Thirsk, before being sent to their place of settlement. With six receipts for vagrants given to the Keeper of the House of Correction at Thirsk, including:

- Hannah Thackray, ordered at the Quarter Sessions held at Stokesley on 15 July 1788 to be conveyed to her place of settlement at Hilton. Receipt dated 16 July 1788

- John Mattison, ordered at the Quarter Sessions held at Stokesley on 15 July 1788 to be conveyed to his place of settlement at the parish of Dornoch in Sutherland. Receipt dated 18 July 1788

- John Oag, Jane his wife and Richard his son, ordered at the Quarter Sessions held at Stokesley to be conveyed to his place of settlement at Wick in Caithness. Receipt dated 18 July 1788

- Thomas Hambleton, ordered at the Quarter Sessions held at Stokesley on 15 July 1788 to be conveyed to his place of settlement at Dunbar in East Lawdon [Lothian]. Receipt dated 18 July 1788

- William Bentley, ordered at the Quarter Sessions held at Stokesley on 15 July 1788 to be conveyed to his place of settlement at the parish of St Michael le Belfry in the city of York. Receipt dated 21 July 1788

- John Harper, ordered at the Quarter Sessions held at Stokesley on 15 July 1788 to be conveyed to his place of settlement at Scarborough. Receipt dated 22 July 1788
