| Description | Order dated 26 September 1791 to Mr Robert Drake high constable of the liberty of Pickering Lythe to pay Henry Sanger esquire his expenses for guarding and maintaining Thomas Tunstall, and conveying him to York Castle. Tunstall had been apprehended on Saturday 16 July 1791 on suspicion of stealing a mare, the property of Robert Watson of Whitby Leys yeoman, and was kept in custody by William Watson, Henry Sanger esquire and others at Seamer from 16 July to 18 July 1791, when he was committed to York Castle; with receipt dated 27 September signed by Sanger |
