TitleSettlement examination of Isaac Pearson
DescriptionSettlement examination of Isaac Pearson, a rogue and vagabond. He was born at the township of Great Broughton, and in about 1790 he was bound apprentice for eight years by the overseers of the poor of the township of Great Busby (where his father had his settlement) to James Jackson of the township of Marton shoemaker. After a few weeks, he ran away and went to Great Busby, where he stayed for several months. In spring 1792, the overseers of the poor of Great Busby bound him apprentice for six years to John Harrison of Whitby mariner, but he soon left and has been strolling to York and other places

Order of a Justice to the constable of Great Busby to bring Isaac Pearson to the House of Correction at Northallerton, and to the Keeper of the House of Correction to keep him there until the next Quarter Sessions
