From 26 December 1793 the highway has been in disrepair in the parish of Kirby Moorside from where a gate was formerly placed across the highway near a lane end leading to the township of Ness eastward for a length of 440 yards, being 7 yards in breadth

Wood was liable for repairs by reason of his tenure of land adjoining the highway

Endorsed with name of witness and "true bill"
