DescriptionBill of indictment of Roger Dawson late of the township of Carlton gentleman for not repairing part of the highway from Middleham to Skipton in Craven in the West Riding

From 11 April 1795 the highway has been in disrepair in the parish of Coverham from a beck which runs across the highway called Graft Mill Beck westward for 25 yards in length, being 7 yards in breadth

Dawson is liable for repairs because of his tenure of lands adjoining the highway

Endorsed with name of witness and "a true bill"
