DescriptionAccount of Christopher Smith for conveying vagrants since last Michaelmas Sessions; with orders dated between 9 November 1796 and 25 March 1797 for:

- Lucy Beautimant, travelling on a pass having been apprehended in the city of Durham and committed to the House of Correction, to be conveyed from Eryholme to her place of settlement in the parish of Barton

- Mary Neasham and her two children, travelling on a pass having been apprehended in the city of Durham and committed to the House of Correction, to be conveyed from Eryholme to their place of settlement in the parish of Whitby

- Elizabeth Gibson and her two children, travelling on a pass having been apprehended in the City of Durham and committed to the House of Correction, to be conveyed from Eryholme to York, on their way to their place of settlement in the township of Melton in the parish of Welton in the East Riding

- Thomas Jones, his wife and two children, travelling on a pass having been apprehended in the town of Newcastle upon Tyne, to be conveyed from Eryholme to Boroughbridge on their way to their place of settlement in the parish of St Saviour in the borough of Southwark

- Jane Robinson and her three children, travelling on a pass having been apprehended in the town of Newcastle upon Tyne, to be conveyed from Eryholme to Boroughbridge on their way to their place of settlement in the parish of St Giles in the county of Middlesex
