Recognizance dated 16 March 1798 made by William Hickes of the township of Easington blacksmith, Richard Suddick of the township of Loftus yeoman, and Thomas Johnson of Guisborough yeoman, for Hickes to keep good order on his licensed premises. Hickes has been granted the remainder of the term of one year for the licence previously granted to John Sissons late of the township of Easington at a licensing meeting for Langbaurgh East division held at Guisborough on 12 September 1797
