At the annual meeting held on 3 January 1798 it was resolved that no member should be free of the club and no money shall be taken out of the box or fund before 1 January 1799. If before then, any member would have been entitled to an allowance from the Club had this rule not been made, then he should be paid a sum not exceeding £10
