TitleSettlement examination and orders: Margaret Wevers and Mary Bell
DescriptionSettlement examination of Margaret Wevers widow. She was born near Kendal in Westmorland and first married Matthew Bell of Kirby Stephen tailor and had three children (now living) by him, one of whom, Mary Bell, is here. She has since married William Wevers of Hull or Kingston upon Hull labourer who died about a year ago on the Isle of Wight, being then a soldier in the 10th Regiment of Foot, which he was drafted into from the 115th Regiment of Foot. She has not remarried, and has done nothing to gain a settlement other than at Hull

Order to the constable of the township of Northallerton to convey Mary Bell singlewoman in the cripple cart to Neasham in county Durham on her way to her place of settlement in the township of Kirby Stephen in Westmorland. For the last seven days, Bell has been in the House of Correction at Northallerton, having been apprehended for begging from house to house in the town street of Northallerton

Order to the constable of the township and parish of Northallerton to convey Margaret Wevers widow in the cripple cart to St Marygate in York on her way to her place of settlement in the township of Kingston upon Hull. For the last seven days, Wevers has been in the House of Correction at Northallerton, having been apprehended for begging from house to house in the town street of Northallerton
