DescriptionBill of indictment of the inhabitants of the township of Hipswell for not repairing part of the highway from Richmond to Lancaster in the county Palatine of Lancaster

From 16 April 1798 the highway has been in disrepair in the township of Hipswell in the parish of Catterick from 500 yards from the south landstall of Richmond Bridge to the north landstall of a bridge called Sand Beck Bridge , being 800 yards in length and 5 yards in breadth
