Description | Order to the Treasurer to pay Robert Warton of Guisborough innkeeper for conveying William Fenton from Cowpen in county Durham to Guisborough and for keeping John Leighton in custody at Guisborough. Leighton and Fenton were suspected of felony. Leighton was apprehended at Guisborough on 12 February 1802 and was kept in custody while proper persons were sent to Cowpen to apprehend Fenton. On 18 February Leighton and Fenton were both committed to the Castle of York on the charge of felony |
