Undated petition to the Justices to direct how Margaret Coates is to be maintained. Thomas Coates of Crackpotside in the division and parish of Grinton occupies a farm valued at £53 9s per annum, and another jointly with his son, valued at £13 per annum. The parish considers that he is able to maintain his mother Margeret Coates a widow aged over 80 years who has for some time been supported by the parish, and the overseers of the parish have given Coates notice to show why he will not support his mother |
