Her husband's legal settlement is at Newland in the parish of Drax in the West Riding. Her husband left Newland about 7 weeks ago and has been hawking laces, skins, tapes, mustard and other articles. He had a licence from W. Coupland of York for hawking goods for which he paid £4 but she cannot say if he had it in his possession when he was apprehended by the constable of Malton. He escaped from custody during the night and she does not know his whereabouts

The information that she has been one month in the House of Correction at Northallerton has been deleted
