DescriptionSettlement examination of Isabella Rowe now in the House of Correction at Northallerton. She was born at Whitby and married Samuel Rowe at St Mary's church in Hull in 1792. He was a native of North Britain and a sailor and is now a prisoner in France. In 1790 she was hired into the service of the Revd W. Seymour of Stonegate in the city of York and stayed for two whole years. She has not done anything to gain a settlement elsewhere
