Description | Notice dated 19 September 1808 given by Jonathan Hart overseer of the poor of the township of Bilsdale Midcable to Benjamin Musgrave requiring him to appear before the Justices for the division of Ryedale at Kirby Moorside on 12 October 1808 when an order will be made for subsistence to be paid for the newly-born child of Dorothy Hutchinson singlewoman
Motion paper for the respite of a recognizance. At the beginning of August, Mr Benjamin Musgrave of Leeds surgeon was taken by a warrant as the reputed father of the bastard child of Dorothy Hutchinson, born in the township of Bilsdale Midcable, and entered into a recognizance for his appearance at the next Sessions. As no order has been made or served on him, and only a notice has been served on him to appear at a meeting of the Justices on 12 [October], a request is made to respite the recognizance to the next Sessions. Musgrave intends to appeal against any order, as he is not the father of the bastard child |
