DescriptionLetter from William Barber late of Dewsbury in the West Riding whitesmith and grocer and Thomas Hatfield late of Kingston upon Hull and previously of Thorne innkeeper, debtors at the Castle of York, to Thomas Paul esquire at Malton. They have been ordered by the Court for the Relief of Insolvent Debtors to be examined by the magistrates of the North Riding. They have suffered a very long imprisonment and are almost without means of repaying the expenses attendant on taking the benefit of the Act. They therefore ask for an early Sessions for their examination
