DescriptionCertificate dated 24 July 1815 of two Justices that they have viewed part of the highway in the township of Stanghow being 60 yards in length and eight yards in breadth, leading from the market town of Guisborough to the market town of Whitby, and found it in good repair. For the prevention of accidents, posts and rails should be placed from the end of the newly erected bridge on each side of the road for a distance of fifty yards

Paper to move at the Quarter Sessions on 25 July 1815 for the discharge of an indictment of the inhabitants of Stanghow for not repairing a highway, on the certificate of two magistrates that the road is in good repair
