Description | Specification and estimate for the repair of the church or chapel of Fylingdales dated 20 April 1816; with note to move on the estimate for an order for a brief for repairing the church or chapel of Fylingdales
Affidavit dated 15 October 1816 of James Peacock stonemason and Gideon Smales joiner, both of Whitby, that they have viewed the parish church at Fylingdales and found it in a ruinous and decayed state, and dangerous for the inhabitants to hear divine service there. They estimate repairs to cost at least £685 18s, which they think the inhabitants of the parish will be unable to raise, as they are mainly tenants at rack rent |
