The bearer of the letter, James Newby, apologises for his error in not attending at Northallerton to answer his recognizance. He had paid Pybus for the discharge of his recognizance. Newby will pay the demand, and Pybus asks that "received" be endorsed on the certificate. Only then will Pybus return Newby's money |
