Description | Letter dated 1 July 1817 from James Bevans of London and Lindley Woodhead and Hurst of Doncaster to Lawrence Dundas MP chairman of the Committee to erect an Asylum for the Lunatic Paupers of the North Riding. They are candidates for the position of architects, and have taken a great deal of trouble over the designs. They hope that the Committee will take into account the expense of their travelling to Northallerton when the designs were twice considered without a decision being made
Order made at the Midsummer Sessions held on 15 July 1817 that the above letter be referred to the Committee of Magistrates for the Lunatic Asylum |
