He believes that Greathead has absconded and is in hiding to prevent being brought as a witness in the trial of Robert Craggs, now in the House of Correction at Northallerton on suspicion of stealing several pieces of leather from Messrs Thompson and Sayer of Brompton on Swale curriers on 31 December 1821
