Certificate dated 13 April 1822 issued on the oath of Thomas Richardson a credible witness, that Jane Armstrong of Thornton singlewoman has not yet been delivered of her bastard child, filiated on James Fletcher of Walton in the Ainsty of the city of York dealer in cattle. A warrant to apprehend Fletcher was issued by Thomas Ralph one of the overseers for the township of Thornton, and Fletcher made a recognizance on 1 March 1822 for his appearance at the next Sessions |
