Recites the conviction of John Smith late of the House of Correction at Northallerton labourer at the Quarter Sessions held at Northallerton on 13 October 1823 for stealing one muslin frock value 1d, one dimity petticoat value 1d, one nankeen frock value 1d, one tippet value 1d, two napkins value 1d, one linen cloth apron value 1d, one jean pocket value 1d, one linen cloth pocket handkerchief value 1d, four linen cloth caps value 1d, one lace frill value 1d, and one linen shift value 1d, the property of John Holgate. That offence was committed at the parish of Easingwold on 6 October 1823 and Smith was sentenced to six months' hard labour at the House of Correction
