Description | Paper to move at the Sessions on 27 April 1824 for the further respite of the indictment of the inhabitants of Fawdington for not repairing the highway. This respite will give time for a decision in an action between the proprietors of the township of Fawdington and owners from the adjoining township of Brafferton, relating to newly-enclosed land through which the indicted road passes
The owners of Brafferton claimed a right of common on the newly-enclosed land. The action was referred to the arbitration of Mr Alderson, but the death of Mrs Lodge of Fawdington led to an unavoidable delay |
