DescriptionCertificate that at a meeting held at the White Horse Inn, the house of Mr William Bearpark, in the hamlet of St Marygate in the wapentake of Bulmer, Robert Gallimore of the parish of St Crux in the city of York linen weaver was sworn in as a substitute in the North York militia for George Jeffrey of Bulmer servant. Jeffrey was balloted for the militia in lieu of Thomas Walker (substitute for W. Vause) who had been promoted to corporal. £6 15s is the average price paid for a substitute in the militia in the wapentake of Bulmer
