Description | Bill of indictment of Thomas Wetherill the younger late of Liverpool in the county palatine of Lancaster gentleman and Laurence Wetherill late of Stokesley labourer for obtaining £30 by deception. They falsely pretended that Thomas Weatherill was authorised by Walter Scruton to receive a sum of £30 due from William Ward to Walter Scruton under a mortgage dated 5 and 6 April 1829; and falsely pretended that Thomas Weatherill was authorised by Robert Palmer to receive the said £30, which Palmer had been authorised by Scruton to receive on his behalf
