Shearer has a wife and four children, and cannot afford these expenses

Letter dated 11 January 1833 from Samuel Hudson, Broker no 108, Kirkgate, Leeds, Thomas Shearer's employer. Hudson paid Shearer's expenses to appear at court, but found that the offender was not tried because the Mint would not prosecute, and so Shearer did not get his expenses paid. Hudson askes what money Shearer did receive
