TitlePapers relating to an appeal against the removal of Jane Webster and her two children
DescriptionCopy consent dated 4 April 1833 from Joseph Newton and Richard Ord churchwardens and Thomas Dixon and John Small overseers of the poor of the township of Guisborough agreeing to abandon the order dated 12 March 1833 for the removal of Jane Webster and her two children from the township of Guisborough

Letter dated 5 April 1833 from Wilson and Faber at Stockton to Henry Clarke esquire solicitor at Guisborough. They have received the notice, but as the appeal has been entered, it must be confirmed by motion at the Sessions. The settlement of the pauper's husband is neither at Guisborough nor Stockton, and they will have to prove a settlement elsewhere

Paper to move at the Easter Sessions 1833 to quash an order for the removal of Jane Webster widow and her two children. Any application for costs from the churchwardens and overseers of the poor of Stockton in county Durham (appellants) in the case against the churchwardens and overseers of the poor of Guisborough (respondents), should be resisted, as notice of abandoning the order was served as soon as possible
