Justice's certificate dated 21 December 1833 that Mary Rigg of the township of Sowerby singlewoman has not yet been delivered of her bastard child; on the oath of John Nicholson, one of the overseers of the poor of the township of Sowerby. Thomas Goodyear of Bondgate near Ripon in the West Riding has been named as the father and a warrant issued for his arrest
